Catering Questions and Answers

Q:  How much will hiring a caterer cost me?
A:  Unfortunately, this is a tough question to answer without talking with you first.  It's like asking how much a car costs without knowing if you want a compact or luxury model.  A sitting or standing buffet typically ranges from $6/peson to $15/person.  For a formal sit down meal, the price will range from $20/person to $30/person.  Once we've talked about what your event will need, we will be able to give you a better cost estimate.

Q:  What are some lower cost ideas?
A:  If you want to cater a gathering but don't have the resources to cater a full meal, some lower cost ideas might include an Hors d'oeuvres Reception or Deli/Party Trays Reception, a Salad Luncheon, a Decadent Dessert Party, a Tea Party, or a Cake and Punch reception.  If you are not planning to host a full meal, it's best to schedule your reception or party during a non-standard meal time like between 2-4pm or after 7pm.

Q:  What services does A Taste of Class Catering provide?
A:  We can handle as much or as little as you need us to.  If you need the works, we can set up the tables, design and set up the table scapes, prepare the flower arrangements, handle all the decorations, set up buffet tables, and even serve the meals for a formal sit down affair.

Q:  Does A Taste of Class Catering prepare wedding cakes?
A:  No.  Although we offer a variety of decadent and creative desserts and dessert cakes, we do not prepare Wedding Cakes.

Q:  What geographic areas does A Taste of Class Catering service?
A:  We can easily service up to about a 50 mile radius from Bethlehem, Georgia.  However, if you're event if further than that, please contact us anyway.  We are very flexible and would love to service your event, if possible.

Q:  Does A Taste of Class Catering have facilities for catering?
A:  Yes, we have a facility in Bethlehem, Georgia that will comfortably seat up to 50 guests and can handle up to 75 guests.  The room is screened in and can be heated during the cooler months, but does not have air conditioning.  We also have an outdoor patio area that can accommodate up to 200 or more guests during the times of the year when weather permits.

Q:  Can A Taste of Class Catering service indoor and outdoor events?
A:  Of course - we are happy to serve the food in whatever venue you desire.  If you are hosting an outdoor event, we suggest a covered area for the food (in case of inclement weather).  Also with an outdoor event, it's wise to have a backup indoor facility availability since we know Mother Nature doesn't always cooperate with even our best laid plans.

Q:  What happens if it rains on my outdoor event?
A:  If you have a backup venue, we will gladly move the food indoors.

Q:  If I want to offer my guests items that are not on your Food Options page, can A Taste of Class accommodate my request?
A:  We will happily review any special requests with you.  If you have a favorite family recipe or menu idea we do not have listed, please talk with us.  We will do our best to satisfy your request and make your event special.

Q:  How many guests can A Taste of Class Catering service?
A:  We have served up to 500 guests at one time.  We can service even larger crowds as long we have plenty of notice for preparation.

Q:  How far in advance do I need to book A Taste of Class Catering?
A:  Booking early is always encouraged, especially for weekend events or weddings.  Our schedule fills up quickly, so once your dates are finalized, make A Taste of Class your first call.
